Hi everyone! I thought I’d christen this new section of the forum with a website/app that I recently found out about called Goblin Tools. It uses AI language models (think chatGPT) to provide a number of useful tools, particularly for people who are neurodivergent:

Magic ToDo – put your to-do list items onto the Magic ToDo list, and at the press of a button, it will break each task down into its constituent steps. (Note that after a couple of levels of breaking down tasks, it often starts to offer redundant or repeated steps.)
Formalizer – Put in the message you are trying to convey and tell the Formalizer what tone you wish to convey, and it will help rewrite your words accordingly (there’s even an option to copy it to your clipboard).
Judge – in the opposite sense of the previous function, this will analyze what is written in it, and give you an indicator of what the tone of the text is conveying. It can even attempt to convey the shifting tone present in a conversation.
Estimator – tell the Estimator what you are trying to do, as well as how liable you are to get distracted (using the “Spiciness” meter I will discuss later), and it will give you an estimation of how long it is likely to take to complete that task (and this feature is also present on the Magic ToDo list!)
Compiler – type a bunch of rambling into a box, and the Compiler will attempt to make a set of actionable tasks for you to do (which you can then add to your Magic ToDo list!)
Chef – type out a list of ingredients you have and this tool will generate a recipe for you to follow!

In addition, most of the tools have a “Spiciness” rating, that will allow you to instruct the model on what it generates – How strongly do you want your Formalizer to make your text come across, for example, or how many steps do you want your task to be broken down into?

You can try this out for free on https://goblin.tools or you can purchase it on the app store as a standalone app. It costs £0.89 in UK appstores in order to cover their costs (if anyone knows the costs for other regions, please let us know!)

As a note, please be careful when using this or any AI language model-powered tools, apps, etc.
While the models are very sophisticated and the tools can be very helpful, the model does not understand human language – however much it might seem like it does. It’s simply very good at figuring out what words are likely to come next. As a result, please take any advice this, or any other AI Model-powered resource offers you with a grain of salt. Most notably in this case, while the chef function could be very helpful, please check more traditional recipes (or use them instead) once it has suggested a meal to you, as the recipe generated might not be the most suitable.
